Village Construction’s 2025 Backlog: Expanding into Full-Scope Building

As we head into 2025, Village Construction is taking bold new steps in the direction of comprehensive construction services. While we’ll always have a deep love for creative, ecological outdoor landscapes, this year marks a shift in focus — one that reflects the growing needs of our clients and the opportunities emerging across the Central Coast.

A Shift Toward General Construction

In 2025, we're proud to be expanding our scope to include larger, more complex projects — including full home builds, fire rebuilds, and site-wide construction management. This evolution isn’t a departure from our core values — it’s an expansion of them. The same collaborative, intentional approach that made our landscapes award-winning now powers our general construction projects.

From Loss to Launch: A New Home Rebuild in Motion

One of the most meaningful projects in our current backlog is a new home build for a client who lost their residence to fire. This job has been a full-spectrum effort, with Village Construction acting as the client’s lead coordinator and advocate from day one.

We’ve handled:

  • Pre-construction planning and insurance navigation

  • Full insurance claim management

  • Selection and coordination of engineers and architects

  • Permit strategy and submission process

After months of collaboration and perseverance, we’re proud to share that:

  • Permits have been approved

  • Our construction bid has been accepted

  • State Farm awarded over $200,000 above their original estimate — based on our detailed submission

Construction is now ready to begin, and we’re honored to help this family rebuild not just a structure, but a sense of home.

Why This Matters

Too often, families who experience catastrophic loss are left to navigate complex rebuild processes alone. Our mission on this project has been simple: to act as the project’s central nervous system — advocating, coordinating, and simplifying every step along the way.

This is what our evolving construction model is about:

  • Start-to-finish project leadership

  • Owner advocacy

  • Design-build coordination

  • Clear, human communication from start to finish

Looking Ahead in 2025

This year’s backlog includes several upcoming general construction projects — from additions and ADUs to site-wide infrastructure builds. While we’ll continue accepting select outdoor design and foodscape projects, our primary focus is now on serving homeowners who need more than just a contractor — they need a partner.

If you're planning a major construction project in 2025 — whether it’s a rebuild, new structure, or complex coordination effort — Village Construction is ready to lead the way.
